Besot is an old word. To besot someone is to make them foolish with affection, to dote, to be carried past good sense by a thing you love. The English poet George Turberville set it down in 1567, and it has meant the same thing ever since: happily, helplessly infatuated. That is the feeling we built this place around. The collector who cannot stop thinking about one jacket. The fan who wants the exact shirt from the exact night. We named besot for them.
